Standard-bred Cayuga Ducks
The Craig Farm is home to a small flock of Cayuga Ducks in north Georgia. Our intention is to raise Cayugas according to the American Poultry Association's Standard of Perfection while also keeping the breed's original purpose in mind. The Cayuga is a stunning solid black duck that appears iridescent green in the sun. They are a multi-purpose breed: laying a good amount of eggs, growing to a size suitable for the table, natural pest control of snails and slugs, and having the temperament to be a beautiful pet.
Our exhibition Cayugas were hatched from eggs from Keep On Truckin HomeNStead in New York. We also have a separate production line of Cayugas which originated from Metzer Farms. While both lines are selected according to the breed standard, the production line is focused primarily on egg laying and early growth while the exhibition line is a bit closer to the breed standard. |

Availability
We have a small number of Cayuga drakes (males) for sale. $15 each. I consider them pet quality or table quality rather than suitable for breeding according to the Standard. They will be available for local pick up in northwest Georgia - I can transport for free to a rabbit show being held in Dalton, GA on March 2nd. Sorry, no females at this time.
I will have a small number of Cayuga ducklings from our production line available in a few weeks. $6 each, straight run.
Please email us with your interest.
